Founded by Scott and Kim Shipley in 2023, Shipley’s Fine Jewelry was born from a passion for craftsmanship, timeless beauty, and community. Located in the heart of Fleming Island, our mission has always been to bring high-end jewelry and custom design services to the local market—offering something truly special, close to home. 

As a family-run business, we pride ourselves on providing a personal, welcoming experience for each and every customer. From brilliant engagement rings and fine fashion jewelry to expert jewelry repairs, we focus on quality, honesty, and lasting relationships.

Shipley’s has always been a family effort, and we still believe in doing things the right way, even if it takes more time and care. That’s why every repair, cleaning, or design consultation happens right here in our Fleming Island store, with no outsourcing or shortcuts.

Scott Shipley
Owner & Head Jeweler

With over 15 years of experience in the jewelry industry, Scott Shipley brings a deep knowledge of fine jewelry, a passion for custom design, and a hands-on approach to expert repair work. 

In 2023, Scott and his wife, Kim, opened Shipley’s Fine Jewelry to bring high-quality craftsmanship and personal service to the Fleming Island community. 

Scott specializes in custom jewelry design, helping clients turn their ideas—and their stories into one-of-a-kind pieces they’ll treasure for a lifetime. He’s also a trusted expert in jewelry and watch repair, known for his precision, care, and integrity. 

At Shipley’s, Scott is more than just the owner; he’s the one at the bench, the one designing, fixing, and making sure every piece meets the highest standards.

Kim Shipley
Owner & Business Manager 

As co-owner of Shipley’s Fine Jewelry, Kim Shipley is the heart behind the scenes—making sure every customer feels valued and every detail is handled with care. 

With a strong background in customer service and business management, Kim ensures the day-to-day operations run smoothly while creating a welcoming, personalized experience for everyone who walks through the door. 

Kim holds an Applied Jewelry Professional Diploma From the Gemological Institute of America.

Brenna Pakes
Graduate Gemologist & Jewelry Appraiser 

Brenna brings a rare combination of scientific expertise and customer care to Shipley’s Fine Jewelry. With a degree in Geology and a Graduate Gemologist Degree from GIA, she offers a deep understanding of gemstones, diamonds, and precious metals that few can match. 

As a proud member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA), Brenna serves as our on-site jewelry appraiser, providing professional evaluations for insurance, estate, and resale purposes. Her appraisals are detailed, accurate, and always handled with the utmost integrity. 

In addition to her appraisal work, Brenna is a friendly and knowledgeable face at the front of the store—always ready to assist customers with finding the perfect piece, answering questions, or offering honest, expert advice. 

Whether you need a trusted appraisal or just want to learn more about the gems you love, Brenna is here to help, one stone at a time.

Cassandra “Cassi” Kahant
Goldsmith & Jewelry Specialist 

Cassi is a talented goldsmith with a sharp eye for detail and a deep passion for her craft. With years of hands-on experience, she’s known for her precision in jewelry repair, expert metalwork, and creative flair in jewelry design. 

Whether she’s restoring a cherished heirloom or helping a customer create a one-of-a-kind piece, Cassi brings both skill and heart to everything she touches. 

In addition to her bench work, Cassi is a key part of the customer experience at Shipley’s, offering friendly, knowledgeable service and guidance that make clients feel right at home. 

Her dedication to craftsmanship, honesty, and connection is a perfect fit for the Shipley’s team and the Fleming Island community we proudly serve.

Sylvie
Customer Care Assistant & Shop Pup 

Say hello to Sylvie, our 1-year-old fluffy French Bulldog and the newest (and fluffiest) member of the Shipley’s Fine Jewelry team! 

Sylvie may be small, but her enthusiasm for jewelry—and people—is huge. She’s always eager to help greet customers, offer emotional support during big decisions, and spread smiles with her signature wiggle and charm. 

As part of our Customer Care crew, Sylvie brings extra sparkle to the store—no leash required. 

Come by and meet her—she can’t wait to say hi and maybe sneak a treat while you shop!

Meet Motley, our beloved 6-year-old Texas Heeler and the heart and soul of the Shipley’s Fine Jewelry welcome committee! 

With a wagging tail and friendly eyes, she’s always the first to greet customers at the door—and she takes her job very seriously. Whether you're shopping for something special or just stopping by to say hello, Motley is here to make you feel right at home. 

She may not be certified in gemology, but she’s a true expert in tail wags, smiles, and spreading joy throughout the store.
